2 Corinthians 2 :17 says for we are not as many which corrupt the word of God but as of sincerity but as of God and the sight of God speak we in Christ. The King James Bible identifies that there are many which corrupt the word of God as we have seen in these videos about the new King James Version but how do they translate that verse?
New King James version “for we are not as as so many peddling the word of God but as of sincerity but as from God we speak in the sight of God in Christ they don’t peddle the word of God pedaling being sort of like selling it they can’t say corrupt the word of God because they have done that that’s been proven so they just kind of change it a little bit oh we just we don’t peddle the word of God yes they do and to show you the proof of that it’s all about money.
I’m going to show you this little video
here
this is what prompted translators to
issue the new King James version of the
Bible you’re going to actually see from
the one of the men that translated the
new King James version let’s see to this
we brought it out because we wanted to
bring the King James tradition up to
date which has already been done before
okay Dr art farstad executive editor
editor of the new King James Version
right we’re going to bring the King
James Bible up to date it’s already been
done before uh not like what they did
okay going from 1611 to 1769 there were
changes made to the English language
itself the thought was changed in the in
the King James Bible so I have a whole
video on that I can put it at the end of
this but um let’s listen to what he says
here what the real motivation was for
the new King James Version
and it’s a conservative and I believe
Godly
and literary update of the King James
we’re sort of between Ken’s NIV
and Don’s and nasb and then he’s talking
about Kenneth Taylor of the NIV and Don
I forget Wilkins of the nasb
so let’s listen a sense that we are
we’re more literal than the NIV but
we’re more literary than the nasb
because we’re based on the King James
which is great literature and the old
ASV of 19 the King James is great
literature
what about the word of God the holy word
of God that shouldn’t be changed
it’s great literature
let’s continue you know one was not
we’ve been on the planet a shorter time
than the NIV but we’re doing very well
Nelson the original Publishers has sold
20 million and at least four Bible
societies including the British and
American
give it out it’s used for our daily
bread which is an enormously widely used
devotional
and it’s been very well received
it’s been very well received we sold 20
million
um
they peddle the word of God
huh it’s exactly what they’re doing it’s
out of his own mouth he’s just condemned
himself he’s just condemned uh the new
King James version It’s About The Money
they’ve sold millions of copies of it
they are peddling the word of God
