This is the first part of a study on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the writings of John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. This is a book series that has been around for a very long time, and I bought all of the books and materials when the 3 movies were coming out, all of which will be covered in this three-part study.

I have been wanting to do this study for a long time but was kind of put on the back burner for awhile after the ferver and hype began to die down. Until they decided to release the hobbit and I realized that it was time to get this information out to the brethren.
