Are You Sowing Bountifully? (2 Corinthians 9:6)

2 Corinthians 9:6 says, “But this I say, he which seweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he which seweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” These are commands in scripture. These aren’t suggestions. God expects you to do something with the money that he provides you with. And if you sew very sparingly because you’re thinking about “the cares of the world,” you know, that spring up and choke the word and it becomes unfruitful— Those cares of the world. And so you sew very sparingly because after all, you want to make sure that retirement’s there and you want to make sure that this is taken care of and that’s taken care of and whatever else. In other words, you don’t trust God to take care of your needs. So you sow sew very sparingly.

Guess what you get back? Not a whole lot.
